The Barbarian

This is another painting for my illustration class. My dad and brothers used to go to a local barber with a shop called "The Barbarian." Cal passed away a few years ago and he was the nicest man and always gave the boys the best haircuts in their lives. In a round-about way, this is a small tribute to Cal. . . . kinda.

It is a fun one... wow, that was fast. The men in the back still need some work and a few of the strokes on her legs are not quite there, but it is definitely going in a good direction.

I absolutely love this! Good work! Love all the textures - especially the little cottage-cheese action going on on the legs!

Great painting! I feel bad for that poor woman in the front, but who are we to judge?
