Layers: Underneath that tough exterior is a sweet bear just waiting to be loved. It's one of my best friends' birthday today, and I just thought I'd do a quick sketch for her. But I ended up really liking this, so I went ahead and finished it.
Gorgeous texture! It looks so tactile. Not to mention, the character design on the bear is really great, I love that ovular shape he makes. Well-played.
I love the top one. The expression the bear's face, and the lighting and texture work really well. The background image adds some fun story elements to it.
